Nature Trails
Approximately eight miles of nature trails meander among footbridges, ponds, small parks, picnic and natural areas; a truly unique trail with both asphalt and natural mulch walking surfaces.
Walkers can move through several phases of the development via this connecting trail system that is enhanced with native blooming shrubs and trees, or stop and admire each uniquely designed common area. We encourage our residents to use our nature trails, but please enjoy them at your own risk. All nature trails are for WALKING ONLY. No Bicycles or Motorized Vehicles are allowed (except Cedar Creek maintenance vehicles). While dogs are allowed on the trails, they must be leashed at all times, and dog owners need to clean up after their pets.

Approximately 8 miles of nature (walking) trails meander among bridges, boardwalks, ponds, small parks, picnic and natural areas. We have both paved (asphalt) and unpaved (natural footing) walking trails.
The paved trails are located at Lady Bank Park, Walton Heath Common Green and Walton Heath Pond.
Residents who utilize the natural footing walking trails should be in good physical condition and wear the proper walking/hiking shoes. The natural footing walking trails are considered easy to walk and fairly level with some elevation gains. There may be areas with uneven ground, exposed tree roots and pine cones posing tripping hazards. Bridges and boardwalks may become slippery when wet so caution is advised when crossing them. After a rain, trails may be wet and/or muddy. Being a nature area, we have plenty of wildlife to include deer, rabbits, armadillos, a variety of birds, butterflies, and snakes (both venomous and non-venomous), so be on the lookout especially from early spring to late fall. Our trail system meanders within Cedar Creek so stay on the trails and respect private property. Trails are Open Sunrise to Sunset.
Whether you enjoy watching birds and butterflies, a quiet walk in the forest, are on your way for a game of tennis or pickleball, or simply want a place to sit and relax to enjoy the scenery, the nature trails can take you there.
We have many “trail” volunteers who maintain the trails with work sessions throughout the year.
